In these videos I want to share my love for the ancient craft of wooden model ship building. The new 21st century wood kits are a far cry from what I did in my youth in the 1960's but they open the hobby to many who might have been put off by just a box of wood blocks and a paper plan with the words - go for it! Now wood parts are laser cut and many details are cast from metal ready to be easily added to the model. Even photoetch is supplied on some kits to enhance the detail.
